Launch Passion Projects
Launch Passion Projects
Over the course of Term 3 and Term 4, all Year 7 to 10 students participated in a unit of work called ‘Passion Projects’.
This is becoming a key part of our Launch curriculum, and helps students to answer the questions of ‘How can I use my passions to improve our College community or our local community?’
We had an amazing range of ideas presents, and some executed in the 6-week program. Some groups chose to raise money for charity, or for the school.
In total, we raised $1455 for charity, and $930.30 to use within the school.
Some other ideas from student groups were, wildlife posters to educate students on which birds like to visit our school grounds, chess club, selling of spray paint art, developing and sending community support cards, and building stronger links with our local Primary School.
A big thank you to all Launch teachers for supporting their students’ Passions, to the Heads of House for supporting their House, and their Launch teachers, to Irene in the Middle School Office who purchased all the required materials for the students, and to the students themselves for creating some innovative ideas.
