Principal's Report

Dear Rockhampton North Special School Community,

Hello everyone,

As we approach the end of October, we have so much to celebrate and reflect on within our school community.

Firstly, a heartfelt thank you to our incredible teachers as we mark World Teachers' Day on Friday, 25 October. Our teachers embody the values of Care, Courage, and Cooperation every day, making a profound difference in the lives of our students. We are so grateful for their dedication and passion in creating meaningful learning experiences. Please join us in showing appreciation for all they do!

A big thank you to Jo, Nicole, and Sandra for representing us at the QASEL Amplify Conference this week. They proudly showcased the amazing work happening at our school through Project-Based Learning, highlighting how this approach has boosted student engagement. QASEL is a network of special schools across Queensland, and it’s wonderful to see our staff leading the way and sharing our success with others.

We also want to extend a special thank you to our senior students for their leadership and hard work in organising treats for our grandparents. Your effort and kindness made our Grandparents' Morning Tea a memorable event. Thank you to the families who joined us—we are always so grateful for your support and involvement in school life.

This Friday, we also commemorate the Day for Daniel, an important reminder of the value of being safe. This day aligns with our shared commitment to promoting student well-being and fostering a safe, supportive environment for everyone.

Thank you all for your continued support in building a vibrant and caring school community.

Warm regards,

Dehlia Dawson
