Principal's Report

Thoughts from our Principal - Mr Geoff McManus

Term 4 is traditionally busy and involves many and varied opportunities to both continue our mantra for our children of “testing yourself at the next level” as well as providing suitable closure and graduation opportunities for the academic year and those who are taking the next steps in their life journey. Please keep a keen eye on the Calendar dates in this and the remaining two newsletters for 2024 as well as COMPASS notifications.

Important whole community events are:

Presentation Day at the Town Hall - December 11 from 12 noon.

Family Carols Night on the Lawn - December 13 from 5.30 pm.

End of Year Mass at St Patrick’s Church - December 16 at 9.30 am.

Year 6 Retreat Luncheon and Gingerbread Assembly - December 17 (time TBC).

As many may have seen on Facebook, our new Multipurpose Court (Basketball, Netball & Pickleball) is up and running and the children have loved running around on the new facility this week! I commend the work of the contractor Synthetic Sports Group and their proactive partnership with Glen Innes Ready Mix for the concrete pour as well as their ability to work around the safety requirements in keeping our kids safe during the construction process. Similarly, thank you again to the St Joseph’s P&F and White Rock Wind Farm Community Grant funding for their co-contribution of $25,000 to the construction costs. As a school constantly striving to achieve excellence and improvement we look forward to leveraging this state-of-the-art facility for higher achievement in sports as well as ensuring more varied play opportunities.

Until next time.

May God go with you.

Geoff McManus
