We are learning about perimeter. 

VOCABULARY

Perimeter: Perimeter is a maths concept that measures the total length around the outside of a shape.

To find the perimeter, you add together the lengths of all the sides.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Choose a room or space in your house, and have your child walk around the perimeter, counting their footsteps as they go. 

This helps them understand perimeter as the distance around a space, and they can compare it by measuring different rooms.
