Author study: researching the life and works of an author.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Have your child choose an Author they like to read. Have them research the following questions and present the information either as a poster or using digital technologies. They might even like to create a video presentation or present their findings to you!

1. What are the names of all the books your author has completed? 
2. Which was the first book written? 
3. Have any of the books won awards? 
4. What other kinds of jobs has the author had?
5. Does the author have a favourite book they have written? Why is it their favourite?
6. Is there anything that is a special inspiration to your author?
