Career Expo Day
Term 2 Week 8
Over 100 of our Year 10, 11 and 12 students attended the annual Wagga Wagga Tertiary Day, held at the Range Function Centre. This year, the event brought together representatives from over twenty different schools across the region.
Students had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of post-school pathways, with exhibitors including universities, Defence, Police, registered training organisations (RTOs), TAFE NSW, the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, Wagga Wagga City Council, and many more. The event provided valuable face-to-face interactions with industry professionals, allowing students to ask questions, gather information, and make meaningful connections.
Our students represented the College with excellence, demonstrating curiosity and respect throughout the event. Many found clear directions for their future, while Year 10 students identified potential placements and inspiration for their upcoming Term 3 Work Experience Program.
Tertiary Day is always a highlight on the careers calendar, reminding students that there are many fulfilling and successful pathways beyond school - not all of which require a university degree.
We extend our sincere thanks to Stacey Suidgeest and Katie Friedlieb from Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) and the NSW Department of Education for making this incredible opportunity possible for our students.
