Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,
Living Waters: Leading with Hope – Inspiring Faith Communities
I am pleased to share highlights from the recent Association of Catholic School Principals (ACSP) Conference I attended in the Hunter Valley with over 350 Catholic School Principals.
This year’s theme, “Living Waters: Leading with Hope – Inspiring Faith Communities,” celebrates Catholic educational leadership. With national and international speakers, the conference provided engaging keynote presentations, masterclasses, liturgies, and social gatherings. It was a powerful reminder of the strength and unity within our Catholic education system.
The conference brought together school leaders from across New South Wales to reflect on our shared mission of nurturing not only academic excellence but also the spiritual, emotional, and social development of our students.
Key highlights included:
- Faith-Inspired Leadership: Emphasizing the role of principals as spiritual leaders who foster inclusive, compassionate school environments
- Wellbeing and Resilience: Exploring strategies to support student and staff wellbeing, especially in times of uncertainty
- Community Engagement: Strengthening partnerships with families and parishes to build vibrant, faith-filled communities
I return from this experience renewed in purpose and committed to continuing our journey of leading with hope, grounded in the values of our Catholic faith.
SPARK – Supporting Potential Among Remarkable Students
Holy Family recently hosted a SPARK day, welcoming talented students from five schools across our Diocese. The day was led by Mrs. Dickinson and focused on the theme of Sacred Geometry—exploring patterns and designs that replicate nature.
Throughout the day, students learned how to use a compass to construct intricate geometric patterns. They explored and recreated Fruit of Life collages and designs, replicating the Seed of Life, Flower of Life and Metatron’s Cube.
It was inspiring to see students from different schools collaborating, sharing ideas, and forming new friendships. The atmosphere was one of curiosity, creativity, and connection—truly a celebration of the remarkable potential within each student.
