Today will be the final time I complete this section of the bulletin for the year. Declan Ryan has kindly offered to take on the responsibilities I have been undertaking to lighten my load and allow me to focus on other school wide responsibilities. I have enjoyed working closely with students and parents in this section of the school and look forward to seeing these student flourish.
Yesterday Sam (40th), Rosie (29th), Isaac (39th), Charlie (71st) and Stella (28th) all attended and ran in the Loddon Mallee Region Cross Country. Well done to all these students for making it to this level.
Our Year 7, 8 ad 9 students have today completed the Student Attitude to School Survey. Well done to the students for undertaking the survey in a responsible manner, as their voice will be considered seriously by Leadership and Council to improve student experiences at school.
Year 9 will be involved in the Morrisby Interviews tomorrow. I am sure they are interested in finding out what career ideas they have been matched with.
Year 7 cooked bacon and eggs last week. Kylie oversees Henry cracking his egg into the prepared gladwrap ready for poaching.
Year 8 Art:
Students have been studying Still Life artworks by Giorgio Morandi. They have used bottles of different shapes, sizes and unique features to produce a completed piece of work. Some students selected water colour paints, while others chose acrylic paints to create their pieces.
Year 8 Science:
Year 8s are wrapping up their unit on Cells and Microscopes this week. They have done an excellent job, not only learning lots but demonstrating great maturity when operating some very valuable equipment!
Year 8 Health:
In year 8 Health, students have been learning how to apply basic first aid and how to respond to common injuries. They also responded to set scenarios and explained the injury on the traced bodies.
