Assembly Announcement

We have a wonderful surprise coming to our school soon, and this week’s assembly will be the big reveal. Over the past few weeks, students have been given clues during assembly about what the surprise might be. Their guesses have ranged from new monkey bars to dodgeball courts! This Friday, all will be revealed - we hope to see you there!

Parent Opinion Survey

Shortly, I will send out information about the Parent Opinion Survey. This is an annual survey from the Department of Education. It provides our school with valuable context- your context. The responses form part of the bigger picture and help to inform our school improvement goals and strategies. The survey is not mandatory, but the more parents/guardians who participate, the more reliable and useful the data becomes. If you have the time to complete it, we would greatly appreciate your input.

Parent–Teacher Conferences

On Wednesday 13 August, bookings will open for Parent–Teacher Conferences with your child’s classroom teacher. I strongly encourage you to take this valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and explore ways we can work together to support their continued growth.

Please note: interviews will be offered to all families who do not already have a Student Support Group and Individual Education Plan.

Assembly Performances

On Monday morning, as I passed the Specialist Hub, I heard a familiar sporting anthem coming from our senior music classes - it was impressive! Mrs Kotis assures me that they are nearly ready to 'rock' an upcoming assembly.  I look forward to their performance in the next few weeks.

Communications

We have several communication channels at the school, with Compass, the newsletter, and Facebook being the most common. I ask that you pay particular attention to Compass (including the Compass Calendar) and the newsletter, as these are the places where you will find all the important upcoming information related to your child’s schooling.

Book Week Parade

Book Week is just around the corner. Last year’s parade was one of my highlights, and I look forward to another great celebration. Students and staff are invited to dress as a character from their favourite book. On Friday 22 August, we will hold a parade on the basketball court (weather permitting) just after 9:00am, once rolls have been marked.

Families are warmly invited to join us and enjoy the parade.

Warmly,

Tim Mulhall
