CONGRATULATIONS Fr. Fabian
On Thursday we gathered as a school community to celebrate Fr Fabian’s 20th anniversary of ordination. We congratulated him on this great milestone in his priesthood.
All of us at St Francis de Sales joined together to say thank you for his guidance and pastoral care to our school and parish.
We appreciate the time Fr Fabian gives to our school community, to our students and our staff to celebrate liturgies and to help with our sacramental preparation. We are deeply grateful for the countless ways he has have touched our lives and made a difference.
We gathered for a short prayer service. We presented him with gifts from our school. A special candle, a book about Pope Francis and a special card in the shape of a heart with words from each class group. He loved it.
The service ended with the cutting of a cake. It was great that Fr Fabian's parents Aubrey and Doreen along with Fr Antony were also able to join us. A special morning tea with staff was enjoyed at the end of the community gathering.
We pray that God will continue to bless Fr Fabian with strength, wisdom, and joy as he continues to be a source of strength and inspiration for us all.
May God bless Fr. Fabian and the important work he does.
May the Lord make his face shine on him and always hold him in the palm of his hand.
Congratulations and best wishes Fr Fabian.
VRQA Review
On Wednesday Paul Lewis visited our school as part of our VRQA Review. VRQA is Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority. VRQA review occurs every four years. This review ensures are school is compliant with all the Victorian Educational policies and procedures. It is essential to pass this review to be a registered school. Prior to the visit we supplied Paul Lewis with an extensive number of documents and evidence to sure our compliance to Child Safety Standards and VCEA (Victorian Catholic Education Authority ) Minimum Standards. Paul was very impressed with our school and the quality of evidence we provided. We will receive a report in coming days.
In August we will also have a further review conducted by Stephen Russell. This School Improvement Review will look at the work our school has conducted on our goals from the last review held 2021. This review will lead to us setting new goals and developing our 2026-2030 School Improvement Plan.
Census day - Friday, 1st August
The Government collects data from each school through the August Census. This census helps to determine the correct funding allocation for each school for the following year. It is important that parents share accurate information with the school so that we receive the correct funding.
You are not required to do anything. The school is responsible for providing the information to the department.
