National Science Week
Species Survival: More than just sustainability.
National Science Week begins tomorrow! This year's theme is Species Survival: More than just sustainability. Our STEAM and Sustainability leaders have been working hard to organise a variety activities that students can participate in each day next week. The activities are aimed at raising awareness about endangered species and provide practical ideas to help look after the species that we share our world with.
Students are invited to meet our leaders in the STEAM room at 11am each day for the following activities:
Tuesday: Endangered species wordsearch and colouring in
Wednesday: Possum box design
Thursday: Species Survival Mural Colouring
Friday: School clean up and scavenger hunt
We will be presenting certificates for the best colouring and possum design as well as the person who finds the most species within our school at the next assembly. Be sure to keep an eye out for our mural that will be displayed in the STEAM window once completed.
If you would like to get involved in National Science Week, you can check out events that may be happening near you by checking the National Science Week website.
We are looking forward to a week full of science fun!
