SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION FAMILY NIGHT
The celebration of our 2024 Sacrament of Confirmation will take place this term. To help parents prepare their children for this important Sacrament we will be holding a Family Night this Thursday 25th July @ 7:00pm in the St John’s Hall. At this meeting Fr Albert will chat with families about the importance of the Sacrament your child is preparing to receive.
It is expected that all Confirmation Candidates attend this meeting with a parent. During the meeting we will be discussing church requirements such as who is eligible to be a Confirmation Sponsor, the significance of the saint’s name your child chooses to take in Confirmation and the dress code for the celebration.
Below is a list of important dates, in the lead up to celebrating the sacrament. You may wish to mark these on your family calendar:

100 DAYS OF PREP
On Monday 29th July , we are celebrating the Prep students completing 100 days of school. We are asking that students dress up as if they are 100 years old! Some dress up ideas may be grey hair spray, hair rollers, old shirts, glasses, walking sticks or suspenders etc.
The day will consist of a parade at 9:30 which we invite parents to join us for. After the parade the students will enjoy a day of fun activities to celebrate all their hard work at school so far. If you have any questions please speak to your child's teacher.
SSV SOCCER FINAL
Tomorrow, Wednesday 24th July some students from Year 5 & 6 will participate in the Division Soccer Finals, at Alcock Reserve Truganina. Parents are welcome to come along and cheer the boys on. The first game will commence at 10:00am. We wish the team all the best!
HOME READERS PREP & YEAR 1
Below are the days that each class in Prep & Year 1 will have their Take Home Readers changed. Your child will have access to this reader over several nights, to help build up their fluency and phrasing. Books need to be returned with your child’s diary in the clear pocket provided. Thank you once again to families for working in partnership with us.

PARISH DINNER DANCE
Each year the parish of St Andrew’s holds an event to raise money for the pastoral needs of the faith community. This year the event will take the form of a dinner dance and karaoke night.
The school is urging families to form cluster groups of school families to support the event by booking tickets for one table of ten. The details are below:

Cost: The cost of $60 per adult, $30 per child (5 - 12 yrs)
