ICAS starting this Term
Thank you to all the parents that enrolled in the ICAS. These tests are fully online and are commencing from next week. The ICAS competition challenges your child, motivates them to succeed and provides you with an objective ranking of their academic performance. Good luck to all the students that are participating.
Year 5 Maths
One element of Year 5 Maths focus this fortnight has been to select and apply appropriate strategies to solve multiplication problems.
As you can see from the photos the students used various problem-solving techniques!
Year 5 Science
Year 5 are learning about forces in Science and how energy is transformed. On Wednesday 31 July, each student followed written instructions to create their own marshmallow shooters. Next week they will launch marshmallows and see how far they can go with different amounts of force applied to the rubber bands.
