Thank you to the staff and students involved in the Highvale Athletics Carnival, held last Thursday the 1st of August at the Bill Sewart Athletics Track. Congratulations to all the students who attended and participated. Everyone had such a great day; we were very lucky the sun was shining for us! 

We would like to thank all the teachers, staff and student helpers who measured, scored, raked sand pits and cooked our fundraising barbeque. It was great to see the first event held with our new house names. Participation was amazing and we even broke some long-standing school records. 

The final results were: 

1st Burrimal 1152 points

2nd Bunjil 1120 points

3rd Marrum 1008 points

4th Kaan 870 points

We also need to congratulate our age group champions on the day, who demonstrated excellence in a number of events: 

Junior boys champion: Syrus O.

Junior girls champion: Sarah E.

Senior boys champion: William M.

Senior girls champion: Jaslene O. 

Division track and field will be on 23rd of August – our squad will be selected from first and second placegetters at our carnival. Well done again to all our competitors on what was an unforgettable day.
