VWelcome to Term 3 everyone! We are so excited about the term ahead, filled with fun learning adventures and exciting activities.
Week 3
Tuesday 30th July - 100 Days of School Celebration
Week 4
Tuesday 6th August - Jollybops Whole School Science Incursion (payment available via Compass)
Wednesday 7th August - Lego Incursion with Ryan Evans from Lego Masters (payment available via Compass)
On Tuesday 30th July, we are celebrating 100 Days of School! To celebrate, we will be doing lots of 100 themed activities at school and doing a dress up day. This year, we will dress up in bright coloured clothing to celebrate being 100 Days Brighter!
On Wednesday, we met up with our Year 6 buddies to make our crowns in preparation for next Tuesday!
On Tuesday 6th August, Jollybops Science will be visiting Vermont Primary School to present the 'Mix It Up' Chemistry Show for students in Foundation to Grade 2.
A high-humoured, high energy fully interactive show for F-2 audiences looking at properties of materials, chemical reactions and how we interact with and use the chemical world around us. It’s Chemistry at its best for this age group, explosive gases, combusting powders and metals, freezing liquids, colour changing reactions and slimey gooey polymer worms. Who knows what will happen when Rusty the Robot and the Jolly Professor explore the chemical and material world. A real Blast!
The cost is $7 per student. Please complete the payment and permission form on Compass for your child to attend.
As a part of our exploration of toys in our Inquiry Unit, we are very excited to have our Lego Incursion on Wednesday 7th August with Ryan Evans from Lego Masters.
Students get to engage in a series of build activities that are revealed in a similar way to the way they are on the show. Some challenges have twists and every challenge has those all important time calls! It’s truly amazing to see how much the students thrive with the little bit of extra theatre and drama!
You can find this payment information under the Events tab in Compass.
We understand that mornings are very busy times for families and parking can be tricky which may make your child late to school.
As our school day starts at 9am, your child's teacher will have already completed the roll in Compass by this time and will have marked your child as absent.
If this happens, you will need to sign your child in at the Office to update Compass that your child is at school. Please talk to your child's teacher if you have any questions.
We will be designing and building toys later in the term. We would love it if you could start collecting and sending in cardboard boxes such as cereal boxes etc. Please no empty egg cartons or toilet rolls. Thank you!
