What's been happening in Visual Art in Years 1&2

Year 1 Modelling

Year 1 students have been making dinosaur eyes out of plasticine. They have been using a variety of modelling skills such as rolling balls and coils and using tools to add in texture.

Year 2 Construction

Year 2 students have been working on developing their construction and modelling skills by building houses using cardboard. They thought about what "home" means to them and then built a house that was reflective of either their own house, their dream house or an imaginary house.

Nunawading District Soccer Final

The Soccer Mixed team competed in the District Soccer Final against Orchard Grove Primary School yesterday. We played in wet and muddy conditions.  Thevin opened the scoring early in the first half and Taylan made the most of a great corner kick!

There were plenty of scoring shots in the second half but a late penalty by Mahdiyar put the game away! Thank goodness because Mr S was getting a little worried…

Congratulations to our team, who survived the wet and muddy conditions for a 3-0 win and were crowned District Champions! We will now play in the Division Final on Tuesday 6th August.

We want to thank Mr Walsh and Mr S for their organisation. We wish the soccer team all the best for the Division Carnival.
