AGM
Dear VAPS Community,
You are cordially invited to the 2024 Annual General Meeting for the Victorian Association for Philosophy in Schools.
This meeting will take place on Monday 22 April, at 5pm, online via Zoom.

One of the primary purposes of the AGM is to establish an Executive Committee for VAPS for the next year. You are able to pre-fill-out this form and nominate yourself for any of the available positions. This form will allow you to put yourself forward, even if you cannot attend the AGM on the night, and also to allow us to see how many nominations we have for positions prior to the night.
Using the same form above, you can also choose to join any of the VAPS Subcommittees, which are threefold:
- PIPS - Philosophy in Public Spaces Subcommittee
- VCE Subcommittee
- Community of Inquiry Teacher Training Subcommittee
The subcommittee positions are not executive positions, and are not subject to a vote for entry - anyone willing to volunteer their time to contribute is welcome to join. Joining one or more subcommittees allows you to be involved in the ongoing work related to that subcommittee. You can join VAPS Subcommittees and participate significantly, or participate minimally only when you have the time. But joining the subcommittee allows you to stay in the loop with the ongoing work so that you can join in when you have time available.
We strongly encourage VAPS people to join subcommittees that they feel that they can contribute to. We also encourage any VAPS member to put their name forward for any of the positions on the executive committee (listed below). This can be done on the night, but it helps us if you nominate through the form above prior to the night.
