Improving the Narrative

In Year 4 our class has been exploring some ways to improve the narrative stories we write. One of the ways we did this was by writing scripts and acting them out. All of the students scripts revolved around ‘making a plan’. By writing a script, students had to concentrate on the dialogue between the characters and how they can show their emotion through the words they say. It was a challenge to communicate ideas about the location where the story was set, or what people were doing at a given time which we learned was possible with the help of stage directions. It was exciting to see students interpret each other’s stories and share them with the class as well as how excited they became about the efforts of others.

Primary Assembly Roster - Terms 1 and 2 (Repeat)

Assemblies are held weekly on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:30pm (for a 2:35pm start). Parents are welcome to attend.
