Harmony Day - Tomorrow!

Primary (P-6) students will celebrating Harmony Day tomorrow, Thursday 21 March.

Harmony Day began in Australia in 1999 to acknowledge and celebrate our country's cultural diversity, with Harmony Day now acknowledged worldwide by many countries. People may choose to reflect on the ways they can live in harmony with their neighbours, as well as appreciate different cultures and ways of life. It is an opportunity to gain an understanding of how we fit together as a community and enrich each other’s lives.

This year students have the opportunity to dress differently for the day.

Students can choose to either:

  • wear the traditional dress of their culture or a country they have visited; or
  • wear the colours of the Australian flag, a flag from their country of origin, or wear colours from a place they have visited.

Students are also invited to bring along an item that may be unique to their cultural background. They may have a photograph of a place that your family has visited that they found interesting and would like to talk to their class about.

We look forward to a colourful and harmonious day together as a school community.

Important Reminder!

Parents and friends of the College are reminded not to park over driveways, or too close to driveways, on Redwood Road or in the surrounding side streets. Thank you!
