Culinary Delights: Year 9 Chinese Students Shine with Dumplings

On the 27 March, our school's Year 9 students had a wonderful time making dumplings together. With enthusiasm and focus, these 30 budding chefs prepared a variety of both pork and vegetarian dumplings, showcasing their cooking skills and appreciation for diverse culinary traditions.

With careful attention to detail, they handcrafted nearly 400 savory dumplings, each reflecting their dedication and respect for the art of dumpling making. The dumplings stole the spotlight at the event, served simply without any additional dishes.

We extend our gratitude to the Year 9 students for their valuable contributions to the success of the event and for their role in promoting an understanding of Chinese cuisine and culture. A special thank you to Ms. Perkins-Sendra, the Home Economics Teacher, for her assistance in safely utilizing the facilities and supervising the students.
