Happy Holidays, End of Term Dismissal and Assembly
Thank you to our community for a wonderful start to the 2024 year and a highly successful Term 1. A reminder assembly is at 12:45 prior to students being dismissed at 1:30pm.
Term 2 Dates
A reminder we return for Term Two for one day on Monday 15th April before observing ANZAC Day on Thursday 25th April. Friday 26th April is a Pupil Free Day with staff engaging in professional learning pertaining to Maths curriculum planning and instruction. The school has a second Student Free Day on Friday 7th June to support teachers’ workload related to Semester One student reporting. Monday 12th June is a National Public Holiday. Term Two concludes on Friday 28th June.
Easter Raffle
Once again our community has come together to put smiles on faces with 99 Easter hampers constructed from their donations. Thank you to our Parents’ Association CHAPs for the time and energy they put into this fundraising drive. There was an amazing buzz as you handed out the prizes yesterday! The major prizes will be announced this afternoon at our end of term assembly.
An incredible $5799 was raised via the raffle ticket sales! Money raised will contribute to the installation of the Stadium Playground which is due to be installed in May.
Year Two Concert
Last night our Year Two students performed their concert, ‘Making Music Together’ to a packed stadium. The combination of singing, dancing, and colour entertained the crowd all night. The highlight of the night was the rapturous applause that came following the whole of Year 2 performing the final two songs Sepuluh Bunga (in Indonesian) and What a Wonderful World.
Many thanks to Performing Arts Teachers Brodie Sainsbury-King for delivering the concert, and the Year Two staff and specialist staff that contributed to the success of the evening.
