This week’s activities were all based around an Easter theme with the favourite activity being the Easter egg hunt.
On Tuesday the children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt. Jordan and Felix went around the school yard to hide the eggs in some hiding spots that were challenging to find. Everyone worked together to find all of the eggs, and they shared all of the eggs evenly.
To celebrate Jordan’s birthday we cooked pancakes in before school care. Jordan and Sam thought it would be a good idea to add mashed banana to the pancake mixture. Jordan had her pancakes with lemon juice, while Sam decided to add no toppings to his pancakes. While not the best pancakes they’ve ever eaten, Sam said they were good, and Jordan thought they were alright.
With term 1 coming to a close, unfortunately Kelly Club will not be running before school care in term 2. Earlier in the term we set a target of an average of 5 bookings per session during the last week of term, and we have not met this goal. If there are enough expressions of interest in before school care later in the year or next year, Kelly Club may consider running before school care again.

Ceres Primary School’s Kelly Club program has been running since 2021.
Ceres Primary has a strong local community which we love being involved in. We have a dedicated space within the school, which means we’ve been able to really make it our own. We’ll give you the peace of mind that they are getting the very best of care at either end of their busy day. Our flexible booking system makes it easy to organise sessions, and because we charge in arrears, you’ll only pay for the childcare you use. Plus, if you’re eligible for a CCS subsidy, you can get up to 100% of your fees covered by Services Australia, depending on your circumstances.
