A Journey for Jesus + A Journey for us

As we delve into the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 21, we are met with a profound scene—the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.

This event marks a special moment in Jesus' ministry, as well as in the hearts of those who witnessed it. Imagine the scene: Jesus, riding on a donkey, with crowds spreading their cloaks and palm branches on the road, shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"

But what does this story mean for us today, especially as we consider giving students their first Bible?

Just as the people of Jerusalem eagerly welcomed Jesus into their midst, we too are called to welcome Him into our hearts. Just as they laid their cloaks and palm branches before Him, we are invited to lay down our burdens and offer Him our praises. Jesus desires to enter every aspect of our lives, to reign as King over our thoughts and actions.

When we give students their first Bible, we are not merely handing them a book; we are offering them the opportunity to welcome Jesus into their lives in a deeper way. The Bible is more than just words on a page—it is the living Word of God, a gateway to encountering Jesus personally. We pray that as students delve into the pages of Scripture, they too will come to know Jesus in a personal and transformative way.

Thank you to the church community for their generosity in providing bibles so that our students can embark on a journey of faith.
