Year 5 Bake Sale

Our grade 5 students at Derinya are gearing up for an exciting event - an upcoming bake sale with a heartfelt purpose. For several years now, we've been wholeheartedly involved in Samaritan's Purse initiative, Operation Christmas Child, where we send gift-filled shoeboxes to less fortunate children during the holiday season. This initiative not only aligns closely with our current inquiry topic, exploring Australia's connection with other countries, but it also instills in us the values of generosity, gratitude, and a sense of global responsibility. As we prepare for our bake sale, we invite everyone to join us in this meaningful cause.
