Guest Speakers
Assembly at our school is a weekly highlight where we come together as a wider school community. We take the opportunity to showcase learning, celebrate achievement, promote leadership and enjoy many wonderful performances. Promoting the schools’ values and acknowledging special events is also a key component. We are always looking for ways to ensure our assemblies are engaging and relevant. If you have any contacts who would be interested in guest speaking in 2024 please make contact with me directly at Nadine.Pye@education.vic.gov.au. Areas of particular interest include: accomplished and well known sports persons or performers, leaders in community service (charities) and connections with our indigenous community.
Lost Property
Our lost property room is now up and running. It has been noted through the process of sorting many items that there is a lot of uniform that is unnamed. Please ensure that you name your child’s clothing and other belongings clearly with both first and surname so that it can be easily identified and returned. Thank you for your assistance with this.
Class Placement 2024
As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, we will soon be embarking on the challenging yet exciting task of creating classes for 2024. We will continue to have straight classes in each year level. Please note:
If you have made a request in past years and continue to wish for this request to be considered, please forward this on in writing.
It is our intent to ensure all children have a learning friend that they are comfortable to work alongside in their class. If this is not possible, teachers and/or leadership will engage in discussion with you.
To ensure all children have every opportunity to make new connections and friendships across their years in primary school we endeavour to build classes that support both social and academic learning. Please note that requests for specific teachers will not be considered. If you have any educational concerns regarding class placement, please forward these directly to Nadine.Pye@education.vic.gov.au by Friday 20th October. A great deal of time, effort and consideration goes into this process which is why it is important that the deadline for requests is met.
Wheelathon
Our Wheelathon is only a week away. Support for our fundraising efforts is appreciated. Don’t forget to come along next Friday to join in the fun and launch the opening of our new oval. A coffee cart will be on-site for your enjoyment between 10am-1pm.
Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend.
