Today is the perfect time to stop, reflect and say thanks to our staff for the significant role teachers play in improving your students outcomes and shaping their lives for future success. Thank you to all our teachers.

A MASSIVE shout out to Simone Kretschmar who led our Alvie PS table through tireless baking the day prior to the full organisation of the day. Our table was hosted by Simone K, Jess R and Kylie McL. Thank you all for your tireless work in making this happen. Having a presence representing our school to the community is vital. We raised over $500 for the day
Change in Program and Recruitment for 2024
On Wednesday our School Council met and reviewed our current Language other Than English (LOTE) program. Our students have been learning Indonesian on weekly basis with Pak Gray over the last number of years. As a result of this review, the School Council has decided that Alvie PS will replace Indonesian with Auslan for the next two years. The LOTE program will be reviewed again at the end of 2025. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Pak Gray for his numerous years of service to the Alvie PS community and wish him well in his future endeavours. Pak Gray will continue with Alvie PS until the end of this year.
In further recruitment news, we are currently advertising for the following teacher positions;
- PE - 1 day per week
- Music/Performing Arts - 1 day per week
- STEM - 1 day per week
With the continued teacher shortage, we need your help if finding outstanding applicants. Can you please share these opportunities within your contacts.
