Year 3 Visit to Carlsruhe

Last Monday, the Year 4 students showed superb leadership skills, as they paired up with Year 3 students to help them learn all about our Carlsruhe Campus. The knowledge and enthusiasm they shared was wonderful to see as they introduced the students to the animals, veggie garden and cubbies. They also spent time explaining how to use their Chromebooks and Google Classrooms and used these to complete a creative writing task together. The Year 3s were full of excitement as they boarded the buses back to Woodend. Amazing work Year 4s!

Here are some photos to share the fun!

Thursday Activities

Thursday activities for CU2 and CU3 began last Thursday 12th October and will run for the next five weeks. Thank you to the family members who have already volunteered to support this wonderful program. If you are able to help out please add your name to the Google doc or contact your child’s teacher. We need 7 volunteers each week to run the program effectively.

Veggie Gardens

Over the past few weeks, students have been busy planting out some spring veggies that we grew from seeds last term. The warmer days along with a few rainy ones have been perfect for them and we can’t wait to harvest and cook with them later in the term.

Here are just some of the beans, peas, garlic, chives and kale.

Hats

A gentle reminder that school hats need to be worn during Term 4 to ensure students stay protected from the sun during recess, lunch, jobs and activities sessions.

Phillip Island Camp

Thank you to those families who have returned their child’s Confidential Student Information forms. We are now collating this information for the camp, so are asking for any remaining forms to be returned by the end of week 4.

Further information about the camp, including an itinerary and equipment list will be sent out next week. Final payment is due by Friday 3rd November.
