Year 5/6 News

SCIENCE
The Grade 5/6 students have been working on some science projects focused on animal adaptations! They’ve been exploring how animals have developed unique traits to survive in their environments and applying that knowledge to create their own fictional animals with specialised adaptations. This hands-on approach allows them to connect scientific concepts with their creativity, and it's been fantastic to see them think critically about how traits like camouflage, body structures, and behaviours could help an animal thrive. The depth of their research, combined with their imaginative designs, really shows how well they’ve grasped the concept of adaptation and evolution.
NAPLAN
We're thrilled to share that the Grade 5 students successfully completed the NAPLAN tests last week, and we couldn't be prouder! It's a testament to their hard work and dedication, and we're excited to see their progress. We thank parents for their support and encouragement along the way.
Gymnastics with Gary
Outside of the classroom, the Grade 5/6 students had a blast during gymnastics with Gary, where they worked on building strength, balance, and coordination in a fun and supportive environment. It’s been an exciting fortnight!
CAMP
With the Roses Gap camp just under two weeks away, students have been sent home with a hard copy of the itinerary and a packing list. For your convenience, we’ve also attached the camp information via Xuno, which includes the full itinerary and a list of items to bring.
