Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a busy and exciting time at school, and we are thrilled to share some important updates and upcoming events with you.
NAPLAN for Year 3 & 5 Students
Our Year 3 and Year 5 students have successfully completed their NAPLAN assessments. We are incredibly proud of their effort and focus during this period. NAPLAN provides valuable insights into the progress of our students and helps us continue to tailor our teaching practices to best support their growth. A huge thank you to the students for their dedication, and to the teachers for their continued guidance and support.
Lightning Premiership
Today, our students are participated in the annual Lightning Premiership! This event brings together schools from across the area for a fun and competitive day of sport. It’s always a highlight of the school year, and we were excited to see the fantastic energy from our students.
Harmony Day Celebrations
Today, we celebrated Harmony Day here at Le Page Primary! This special day highlights the importance of diversity, inclusion, and respect. Our students were invited to wear a touch of orange, to recognise and celebrate different cultures and traditions, reinforcing the values that make our school community so rich and vibrant.
Phonics Teaching Observation – Open Invitation
On Monday 9.15 – 10.30 am, we are hosting an open invitation for parents to come along and observe the teaching of Phonics in our classrooms. If you are interested in learning more about how we teach this essential literacy skill, we encourage you to attend. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see how our students are building their reading and writing abilities through engaging activities.
Year 5 & 6 Mini Concert - Music Without Borders
Mark your calendars for our Year 5 & 6 Mini Concert on Thursday, 27th March at 2:30 pm in the school hall. Our talented students will be showcasing a wonderful array of music and performance from around the world, including songs and dances from Africa, Israel, the USA, and Indigenous Australia. It promises to be an afternoon of fun, celebration, and talent. We would love for you to join us in the hall to support the students. If you’re unable to attend, we will be recording the concert, so you won’t miss out on the action!
7 Habits of Highly Effective People Workshop for Parents – Tuesday, 1st April
We are excited to invite parents to a 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Workshop on Tuesday, 1st April at 12:30 pm and 6:00 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents to learn practical strategies for personal and professional growth, using principles that benefit both adults and children. School Tours & Enrolments

Thought for the Week
Believe in your potential, because you are capable of more than you realise. Life’s challenges may feel overwhelming at times, but remember, every step forward, no matter how small, is progress. Be kind to yourself through the ups and downs - self-compassion is the fuel for growth. You don’t need to have all the answers today, just keep moving forward with faith in yourself. You are enough, just as you are, and you have everything within you to achieve greatness. Embrace your journey, trust in your strength, and know that you are worthy of all the good things ahead.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in school life. We are truly grateful for the amazing Le Page Primary School community, and we can’t wait to see you at the upcoming events. If you have any questions or need further information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Warm regards,
George Danson
