Assistant Principal

Year 9 & 10

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

As we move further into the term, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the efforts of our students and staff in making the start of the year productive and positive.

Leadership Assemblies

Last week, our Year 9 and 10 students attended leadership assemblies that focused on personal responsibility, goal setting, and the importance of leading by example in both formal and informal leadership roles. These assemblies highlighted the role that every student plays in shaping our school community. We were proud to recognise students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and encourage all students to take ownership of their learning, behaviour, and contributions to the college.

NAPLAN – Preparedness is Key

This week, our Year 9 students will be participating in the NAPLAN assessments. This is an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning progress and skills. A crucial reminder for all students: please ensure that devices are fully charged and brought to school each day. Having a working device is essential to a smooth testing experience. We encourage students to get plenty of rest and approach these assessments with confidence.

Morrisby Interviews – Shaping Future Pathways

Last week, Year 9 students undertook Morrisby Interviews as part of their career development. These interviews provided an invaluable opportunity for students to reflect on their strengths, interests, and potential career paths. The insights gained will support their decision-making as they begin considering subject selections and post-school options. We appreciate the engagement of students in this process and look forward to seeing their aspirations take shape.

Uniform and Punctuality

A reminder to all students about the importance of wearing the correct uniform and being on time for school and classes. Uniform represents pride in our school, and arriving on time ensures that students maximize their learning opportunities. Parents and guardians, your support in reinforcing these expectations at home is greatly appreciated. If there are any issues regarding uniform compliance, please ensure that students see their managers before the start of the school day.

Thank you for your continued support in making our school a great place for learning.
