Pajama Day 

On Tuesday 25th June Students are asked to wear PAJAMAS, Oodies, Onesies, dressing gowns, Ugg boots or comfy clothes in support of the Winter Shelter organisation.

 

Winter Shelter is a Maroondah churches and community response to local homelessness. It is the mission of Winter Shelter to provide shelter, food and honour for people who need shelter, comfort and support. We ask members of the community to bring a gold coin donation to help raise money for this good cause.

HOUSE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Date: Friday August 16th 

Where: Proclamation Park, Sylvia Grove, Ringwood. 

Times:

Seniors: 9. 30 am - 3 pm (Grade 3/4/5/6) 

Juniors: 11.30 am-2.30 pm (Foundation, Grade 1/2)

 

 Start training now, 

Seniors compete in 9 events, Track: 100m, 100m Hurdles, 200m and 800m.

Field: Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Discus and Shotput. 

Juniors in 5 events: 100m, 200m and 400m, long jump and a Throw event. 

Parent helpers are required to make the day a success. If you are able to help run an event such as Long jump, organise age groups or help in other area's please email me at  bonny.chisholm@education.vic.gov.au with your availability time, preference of event and any specialised talent i.e. high jumper to run the field event. Also please let me know if you are able to help set up track at 8.30 am at Proclamation Park. 

House Athletics Carnival is always a great day of fun, active participation, Personal Bests, cheering, resilience and hopefully sunshine. This carnival is a fantastic opportunity for all MPS students to challenge themselves. Selected age groups of students in 9, 10,11 and 12 will be invited to compete at the District Athletics carnival which is on Tuesday September 10th at Bill Sewart Reserve.
