House Chess Tournament

At the recent first round of the House Chess Tournament, three outstanding students emerged as contenders for the honour of Year 7 & 8 Chess Champion for 2024.

Riley Woods secured 11.5 wins, Nikhil Ariyathilaka achieved 11 wins (as the reigning 2023 champion), and Noah Quinoneza earned 9 wins. These talented junior chess players have all qualified for the State Championships scheduled for October.

We look forward to some spirited competition at the Mazenod Open in a few weeks!
