Principal's Message

Mrs Kaileen Carr

It has been lovely returning to school and seeing all the happy faces.

The days are becoming colder and I have noticed a number of students wearing jumpers which are not school jumpers. Please leave these at home and ensure your child has a school jumper which is labelled with their name. Students are able to wear any coats over the top of their jumpers for an additional layer if they need it at lunch and recess times.

Our Cross Country runners competed at the Western trails on Wednesday. Congratulations to Rhys Simmons and Matilda Chapman who will represent our school at State Cross Country.

Congratulations to Blake Simmons who has been selected to represent our school at the Western Primary Boys Football in Tamworth on the 27/08/2024.

The school has recently purchased some Courtyard games for students to play at lunch and recess. It was fantastic to see so many students skipping, playing Connect 4 and Jenga. We are waiting for some more to arrive, so plenty of fun times to come.

Some students have been exploring different art techniques such as etching with crayons and paint, using oil pastels and water colours and printing using foam boards while learning Aboriginal art symbols. Some students have also had the opportunity to learn how to play the Didgeridoo.

A big shout out to Riverside Nursery and all the parents who have donated plants for our cultural garden. We are still taking donations so any donations big or small will be gratefully accepted.
