Wanted: Your old knitting yarn!

Do you have balls of wool/yarn lying around that you no longer need? The Textiles/Fibre classes are weaving on looms next term and we would love to use a variety of wools/yarns that might otherwise be left sitting in cupboards.

If you have any donations, please bring them into the Main Reception at 23 Commercial Road as soon as possible.

Uniform Shop Holiday Trading Hours

The Friends' School Uniform Shop will close for the school holidays on Thursday 4 July at 5pm and reopen for Term 3 on Monday 22 July at 9am.

There will be extended trading hours on Monday 22 July, 8am – 1pm

The Uniform Shop will resume normal hours on Tuesday 23 July at 8am.

There will be no Community Yoga until Wednesday 14 August.

Quaker Meetings for Worship

All members of The Friends’ School community are welcome to attend our Meeting for Worship any Sunday from 10am, closing about 11am, with morning tea available afterwards.

Children are always welcome and there is a Children’s Meeting held concurrently with the Meeting for Worship. They learn about Quaker values through a range of interesting and fun activities. Around 10.50am the children join the Meeting for Worship, settling into the gathered Meeting for the last 10 minutes, usually sitting with their parents.

Thursday Morning Meeting for Worship

Members of The Friends' School community are welcome to attend a short Meeting for Worship held each Thursday morning during term time, starting at 7.45am. Just come quietly in when you can and join us until 8.20am in the Hobart Quaker Meeting House, which is located just below the Middle School office on Boa Vista Road.
