Silver Success for Zoe at Aussie Championships
During the holiday break, Year 6 student Zoe Learmonth travelled to Perth to compete in the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships. Zoe proudly represented the Sydney University Lions Women’s team in the Under 12s division, taking on the best young players from across the Country.
The Lions dominated the tournament’s early rounds, going undefeated into the gold medal match against Queensland’s All Hallows’ School. In a thrilling final, Zoe’s team narrowly missed out on the title, conceding a goal in the final minute to finish with a 3–2 loss.
Finishing as national runners-up is an incredible accomplishment, and we’re extremely proud of Zoe’s performance on the big stage. Congratulations Zoe!

Junior School Sprint Training
The Junior School sprinters commenced sprint training for the upcoming athletics carnival. It was great to see girls from Years 3 to 6 training together and getting to know each other. After the warmup, drills and a ladder of sprints where we focussed on good technique, the group were excited to finish the session with some very competitive relays.
We have some "speedsters" in the Junior School!
All girls are welcome to attend these sprint sessions and improve their running. The sessions are held on Monday and Wednesday mornings 7.15-8.00 am on the oval with Ms Sambell.

Isla's hard work and dedication paid off as she emerged as the winner of her group—a remarkable achievement that reflects her commitment and passion for tennis. As part of her prize, Isla received a Rafa Nadal–signed cap, a special memento of her success.
