Spreading Kindness
Today, Friday 9th May, our school had a wonderful time celebrating “Spreading Kindness!” We focused on empathy and the joy of giving, which are important values of our Catholic faith.
During TA time, students created kindness butterflies for a display on the Church wall. Students also filmed a Kindness Boomerang, showing how one small act of kindness can inspire others. Spreading kindness lifts everyone’s spirits and helps us grow in compassion, reflecting Christ’s love every day.
We look forward to sharing the kindness film with our school communities when the editing process is completed.
Why Attendance Matters
Arriving at school on time sets students up for a successful school day. Late arrivals can mean missing important lessons and announcements, which can disrupt the whole class. At St. Augustine’s, we emphasise punctuality and have clear expectations in our SOLE matrix to help.
Parents and caregivers are key in this effort to ensure students are on time for school. A consistent morning routine, early bedtimes, and planning enough travel time can really help your child be ready for school by 8.50am each day.
Let’s ensure every student has the best opportunity to thrive in a focused, productive classroom by supporting all students to arrive at school before 8.50am.
Important Reminders for Our Community:
School Drop-off and Pick-up
Please ensure students arrive at school between 8:30 - 8.45 am and arrange pick up for before 3:30 pm. The College offers limited supervision outside of these times.
School Office Visits
All visitors to the school must report to the school office before entering any areas of the College (outside of school drop-off and pick-up times). This ensures a safe and secure environment for everyone.
