Year 7 Camp - The Summit

May 5 to May 7 2025

The Year 7 students attended their first camp at The Summit in Trafalgar East. They showed teamwork and participated in many activities over the three days. Most of them overcame their fear of heights while doing the Jump Free, the Giant Swing and the Leap of Faith. Students also exhibited Mordialloc College values at the campsite. They kept their cabins/bungalows tidy after they left and helped each other out before and after each meal. We believe they have created amazing memories with their friends and made new friends at camp. We are proud of every year 7 student. We would like to see them grow and continue showing their personal best in their high school journey.

Here is some comments from our students.

I really enjoyed activities at camp. They were fun but scary. I have to say the mud run was great especially when you go into the water. I liked the camp food and everyone would agree with me. My favourite activity was flying fox. It was annoying because we couldn’t do all the activities. Jack Whelan.

When I first got to camp, I thought that I wouldn’t do any of the activities and not try many things but after I saw what the activities were, I got excited, and the food was good. I tried my hardest to do the activities but some of them were scary like flying fox. I think that it was the scariest thing. Indigo Bartrop

The Summit Camp was such a great experience! We all got to try new things, step out of our comfort zones, and make new friends. When we did our activities, we had to trust our teammates, most of them we didn’t know well, encouraging new friendships that will last for years. Some of the highlights from The Summit were the Monster Mud Run, the Cave and Giant Swing. We could all seriously recommend this camp to anyone considering coming . Molly Harpantidis
