RRRR Community of Practice

I recently attended a Respectful Relations, Rights and Responsibilities (RRRR) COP (Community of Practice) which is being led by staff at Ashburton Primary School.

This is an opportunity to explore how each of the schools in the COP are approaching wellbeing in their schools, to share ideas and experiences.

All schools presented their Scope and Sequence for their Wellbeing curriculum. The Scope and Sequence for each school looked quite different with different schools including a variety of programs including RRRR, UR Strong, Visible Wellbeing toolkit, and the SEARCH program.

Members discussed a range of ideas including the Mental Health in Schools funding opportunity, organising a Wellbeing Expo, and a staff baseline assessment survey - to support staff capacity in the area of wellbeing.

I was delighted to see students present the Acknowledgement of Country before commencing our meeting and a wonderful SWPBS display in the corridors.

Prior to our next meeting in June,  I will explore the SEARCH program and learn more about Lea Waters’ Visible Wellbeing approach to student wellbeing.

All these learnings will be presented to leadership and the SWPBS working group.
