The LBR is going to be sent to families on Wednesday 1st April. All classroom teachers must fill the LBR for each student on Compass by the end of Monday 30th March.
Simeon will go over the reporting package on Tuesday and ensure no information is missing. Get in touch if you need any support.

ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE review
An previously mentioned, we are looking at more effective ways to ensure that essential assessments are implemented mindful of the impact on teaching.
Some assessments are mandated (MOI, NAPLAN, Phonics Check and PAT). These standardised tests show growth in student learning over time. We can access the data for NAPLAN and PAT through Elastik whilst with the MOI we will need to develop Guttman charts.
In the future, MOI is be completed up until the end of the section on Time. As this takes a considerable amount of time away from teaching, there is a discussion as to completing the testing by staff other than classroom teachers.
More information to come.
It will still be important for teachers commencing at CPS to know and understand the MOI and therefore, initially to be involved with testing.
The French language assessment, DELF is being considered for Year 4 and Year 6 to be held at the same time as NAPLAN. Segments of the test would be run over four days to diminish the cognitive load on students.
More information to come.
Only PAT Adaptive will be implemented at the start of Term 4 ie a PAT test once a year instead of three times per year.
In the Junior School PAT Maths will only be administered to students who can read the test as MOI will be the focus.
More information is needed about Reading - as there is potential for in-house assessments to be developed following on from the Dibels screening.
- More conversations to be held with Foundation and Year 1 to identify the best time to start.
Thank you Alycia and Florie for the assessment schedule conversations!
Based on feedback, there is a revised Assessment Schedule which is still very much in the discussion stage. As per our NORMS, if you have ideas, suggestions, solutions, please come and share.

Management of Unlogged Leave – Change Update for Staff
As previously communicated via staff briefing notes, a reminder to staff that all leave requests should be entered within 7 days of returning to work.
Under the previous process, where leave was not entered within this timeframe, it was processed by CPS admin as sick leave without a certificate, or unpaid sick leave without a certificate where entitlements had been exhausted.
Following updated advice from DET HR, this process has now changed. School administration staff are no longer able to enter leave on behalf of employees without a written request.
Where leave remains unlogged, it will now be recorded as stop pay until the employee enters the leave and the matter is resolved. This change is in place to help ensure accuracy of records and avoid any unintended salary overpayments.
We understand that at times this can be overlooked, and appreciate your support in ensuring leave is entered promptly. This remains an employee responsibility and helps us maintain accurate payroll processes for everyone.
If you have any questions or need support with entering leave, please contact me.

Emergency Management Drill: Monday 30 March
Just a reminder that our first Emergency Management drill of the year will happen on Monday 30 March towards the end of session 4. This drill will be an on-site evacuation. Senior Campus will evacuate to the Synthi Grass, Junior Campus will evacuate to the Le Jardin Soccer Pitch.
To prepare students for this drill please have a quick pre-correction conversation to ensure they are aware of the need for drills and expected behaviours during an emergency evacuation. Foundation team - you may wish to make this more detailed as this will be your students' first drill.
Any queries please see Kim.
