Congratulations to Learmonth House, Mrs Bell, Ms Brabham, Mrs Cameron, and Mrs Christie on a wonderful House Service on Monday. Their theme of ‘Determination’ was skilfully addressed through Bible readings, prayers, stories, quotes, and songs. We welcomed Senior Campus Learmonth House Captains and students, who shared stories of when they had to rely on determination to get through situations. Rev. Peter Cook is sharing a thought-provoking reflection. Well done, Learmonth House.
A wonderful day was had by all at House Athletics on Tuesday. We enjoyed great weather and a day filled with outstanding athletic performances. This week’s Learmonth House Service theme of ‘Determination’ was certainly on show.
A huge thank you to the Junior School and Early Learning Centre staff, Head of PE Mrs Sharnah Malseed, Junior School parents, College Parents and Friends, Year 10 students and Gappers, who combined to run a seamless program on and off the track. Special thanks to Mrs Louise Patterson for all her considerable efforts in expertly organising and coordinating a successful event. A full array of photos is available on Pixevety.
Congratulations to Berry House, our 2026 winners of the House Athletics Cup.

HDSA District Athletics will be held at Mitchell Park on Thursday, 19 March. College will indeed be sending a strong team, and I look forward to watching them run, throw and jump with the best athletes in the district.
Year 3 and Year 5 students will commence their NAPLAN testing next week, with the Writing assessment on Wednesday, 11 March. They will join students from schools across Australia in sitting Writing, Reading, Language Conventions and Numeracy assessments. Results will be sent to schools and parents in Term Three. We have timetabled the assessments for the morning blocks. Year 3 and Year 5 will have timetabled Art, Chinese, Drama, Music and PE lessons during the NAPLAN testing window.

Last Friday, Prep to Year 6 classes took time out to clean up the Myrniong grounds and surrounding streets. Unfortunately, a lot of rubbish was found, and I congratulate the students on bagging and disposing of it. A high proportion of the litter in the Junior School playground and surrounding streets was single-use chip/popcorn/biscuit bags and clear snap-lock bags. We hope to work with students and families to reduce the frequency of these items in lunch boxes.

Congratulations to the Year 6 girls who won their Hotshots Tennis competition in Warrnambool today and have qualified for Regionals.
Sammie, Maggie, Olive, Tilly, Violet, Milla, Hazel, and Georgina will travel to Colac in November to compete at the next level.
A reminder that the Dare to Dream auditions are on next Wednesday afternoon, 11 March, for Year 3 to 6 students. If you have not booked a time, please use the following link. Best of luck to all who are pushing their comfort zones and having a go.
I will be meeting with the Heads of Hockey, Miss Kristen Waldron and Dr Ben Hawthorne, to finalise College hockey teams for the 2026 season. If you have not returned the ‘Expression of Interest’ form, please do so by tomorrow. Information on teams, trainings, season dates and playing fees, etc., will be sent out in the coming weeks.
A reminder that our Walk/Ride to School is tomorrow.
We will convene on the hockey fields at Senior School for a 9.00 am walk to the Junior School, a distance of 1.6 km. The weather is looking good, but if things change, a message will be sent to parents via Toddle, and our bus drivers will be informed. Before School Care will still be available from 8.00 am at the Early Learning Centre.
