Your Voice, Your College: Your Student Representative Council

Every thriving school community is built on one thing: students who care. This year, we are proud to introduce our newly formed Student Representative Council (SRC).

What is the Student Representative Council?

The SRC is the official student body that acts as a bridge between the student population and the college leadership. Its members are selected to represent the interests, concerns, and ideas of their fellow students across all year levels.

What Does the SRC Do?

The SRC is involved in a wide range of activities that directly impact the student experience. Year-level advocacy is at the heart of what they do — ensuring that each cohort has a strong voice in decisions that affect them. Whether it is raising concerns about curriculum, uniform, facilities, or social dynamics, SRC representatives are the first point of contact for students who want to be heard.

Beyond advocacy, the SRC is the driving force behind some of the most memorable events on our College calendar. Wellness Week is one such highlight — a dedicated time for the whole school community to focus on mental health, connection, and wellbeing, with activities designed to energise and inspire. The Wellness Week finale is the much-loved College Has Got Talent, a showcase of the extraordinary abilities hiding within our student body, from musicians and comedians to dancers and everything in between.

The SRC also leads fundraising efforts for special causes close to our community's heart, organises social events that bring year levels together, and fosters a sense of pride and belonging across the college.

An Incredible Response from Our Students

We were genuinely moved by the level of interest in this year's SRC applications. The number of students who put their hands up to serve their peers was overwhelming, and the quality of applications made the selection process incredibly difficult.

Naturally, the number of formal SRC roles is limited, and we were unable to offer a position to every deserving applicant. To every student who applied and was not successful this time: your enthusiasm and willingness to serve have not gone unnoticed. We truly hope that you will remain involved.

Still Want to Be Involved? Please Do!

Not holding an official title does not mean you cannot contribute. The SRC will be calling on the wider student body throughout the year to help organise and run events, volunteer at fundraisers, assist with Wellness Week activities, and support College Has Got Talent. There is a role for everyone who wants one.
