Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of a busy and highly productive Term 1, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has been a great start to the year for our school community.
It has been particularly pleasing to see the strong sense of engagement and positivity from our students across all aspects of school life. This term has been filled with opportunities for learning, connection and celebration, with many excursions, activities and our wonderful Year 7 community camp. Our students have consistently demonstrated our values of Respect, Resilience and Care in the way they approach both their learning and their involvement in school events.
A highlight of the term was our recent House Athletics Day. We were fortunate to avoid the worst of the weather, and it was fantastic to see such strong attendance and enthusiastic participation from students. The day was characterised by excellent school spirit, friendly competition and a genuine sense of belonging, with students proudly representing their houses and supporting one another. Our Year 12 students excelled with their dress ups and participation on this day.
Our College Open Night was another significant event this term. While the weather was certainly wet, it did not dampen the warmth and pride of our community. It was a highly successful evening, providing us with a valuable opportunity to showcase our school to prospective families. I would like to thank our staff and students for the effort they put into presenting the very best of our college, and for creating such a welcoming and engaging experience for visitors.
I would also like to sincerely thank all parents and carers who attended our recent Parent Teacher Conferences. These conversations are an important part of the partnership between home and school, and they play a vital role in supporting each student’s learning and development. Your engagement and support are greatly valued.
As we move into the Easter break, I encourage all students to take the opportunity to rest, recharge and spend time with family and friends after a busy term. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another successful term of learning.
I wish all members of our community a safe, restful and enjoyable Easter break.
Warm regards,
Neil Baillie
College Principal
