From the Principal

Dear Parents, Families, and Members of the St Liborius Community,

Welcome to the final newsletter for Term 1.

Thank you to all members of our community for the positive and energetic way you have contributed to the life of our school this term. Your ongoing support and engagement make St Liborius a vibrant and welcoming place for all.

Today, our students and staff participated in an evacuation drill, ensuring that our procedures are well aligned to promote community safety and wellbeing during an emergency. We are pleased to share that the drill went very well, and our students are congratulated on their manner. Students were informed of the drill prior to it taking place, so that there was not a cause of alarm.

DAHLIA AND ARTS' FESTIVAL

It was wonderful to see so many members of our school community join us for the recent Dahlia and Arts Parade. We loved celebrating alongside our students and families in such a joyful and vibrant expression of our school and local community.

Thank you to all staff who assisted with the preparation and organisation of this important event. Your efforts made the day such a success.

LEARNING @ ST LIBORIUS

Throughout the term, we have once again been delighted to experience calm and predictable classroom environments, with students actively engaged in their learning.

At St Liborius, we are excited to share what this looks like in practice, in a hands on manner. To support this, we are introducing a new event to our calendar: Experience St Liborius, to be held on Tuesday, 28 April from 4:00–6:00pm.

All members of our community are warmly invited to join us and see learning in action. There will be lucky door prizes and a sausage sizzle — we hope you can come along and be part of the fun!

GOAL SETTING

A reminder to families that the reflections on student goals will be available via PAM on Thursday afternoon.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Alex Binns who would like to us to share the exciting news that she and Callum are expecting a baby in September!!

Congratulations to Darby Walsh and his wife Kaity who are expecting their second child in September as well.

Such lovely news and wishing them all the very best during this very special time.

LAST DAY OF TERM

A reminder to families that our last day of Term 1 is on Friday and we will finish at 2.30pm. We have an exciting day of activities planned, with activities in the morning and an assembly taking place at 2pm. Students may wear casual clothing, with a gold coin donation for Caritas on this day. Students are required to wear sports shoes on this day as they will be participating in physical activities.

EASTER

As we conclude Term 1 and prepare to celebrate the Easter season, we take time to reflect on the message of hope, renewal, and love that Easter brings.

May the joy of the Risen Christ fill your hearts and homes, and may this Easter be a time of peace, rest, and blessing for you and your families.

Wishing you all a happy and holy Easter.

With kind regards,

Alannah
