SWPBS

SWPBS stands for School Wide Positive Behaviour Support and is an evidence-based framework used to help support effective teaching and learning by maximising success and engagement in all students. This is done through consistent school-wide procedures and practices centred around our school's vision and values of Kindness, Respect and Courage to create a safe, inclusive and positive school environment.
Our Quadrangle was designed as a calm play area for students who may need a place to regulate or a quieter area to enjoy during break times. To help support this, there are tubs of equipment for students to use. This term, our SWPBS leaders sought feedback from our students to come up with a list of things to add. These have been organised and labelled and added to the tubs this week! This has included giant naughts and crosses, giant dominoes, Connetix, trains and cars, and games such as Spot It, Uno Flip and Guess Who.
Our leaders also created some expectations around the use of this equipment, and asked students their feedback on this before sharing them with the school community. They are below.
This week the SWPBS leaders will be seeking feedback on some updated rules for the GaGa Pit to come soon!
