This week we remember the faith and courage of Saint Patrick, who shared God’s love with the people of Ireland. Patrick trusted that God was always with him, guiding him in both the easy and difficult moments of life.
As families, we are also called to share kindness, forgiveness, and hope with one another each day.
Let us pray together.
Loving God,
We thank you for the example of Saint Patrick,
who trusted you and shared your love with others.
Bless our family and our home.
Help us to be patient with one another,
to forgive when it is hard,
and to show kindness in the small things we do each day.
Like Saint Patrick, help us to bring hope and faith to the people around us.
May our home be filled with love, peace, and laughter.
What is one small way we can show kindness or encouragement to someone this week?
You might choose something simple like:
Just like Saint Patrick, even small acts of love can make a big difference.
Thank you for the gift of our family
and for the example of Saint Patrick.
Help us to live with faith in our hearts,
kindness in our words,
and love in our actions.
May our family continue to grow together,
support one another,
and share your light with others.
Bless our homes with peace and joy today and always.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
A note from Social Justice Captains
Dear Families,
Our names are Aahi and Olivia and we are your Social Justice Captains. We would like to tell you about something special we are doing at our school to help others.
During Lent, our school is supporting Caritas Australia through their Lenten program called Project Compassion.
Every class has a Compassion Box on their prayer tables. We place coins in the box to help people around the world who do not have the things we often take for granted, like clean water, food, safe homes, and schools.
We have been visiting all the classrooms to explain why supporting Caritas is so important. We talked about how even small acts of kindness can make a big difference for people who need help.
Did you know…
• Some children around the world have to walk a long way every day just to get clean water.
• Many children don’t have the chance to go to school like we do.
• With support from people like us, Caritas helps communities build wells, grow food, and create better futures.
• Even a few coins can help make a big difference.
At St Carlo, we are trying to live out our faith by caring for others and sharing what we have.
If your family would like to help, you might like to send a small donation with your child to place in our class Compassion Box. Every little bit helps.
Thank you for helping us make the world a kinder and more caring place.
From,
Aahi and Olivia

Our Year 6 students who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation are reminded that attendance at the Family Workshop is an important part of the preparation process.
This workshop is a mandatory component of the program and is designed to support families as they journey towards the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Church.
We ask that both parents and students attend together, as this time will help deepen understanding of the sacrament and the commitment being made.
Thank you for your support and cooperation as we work together to prepare our young people for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

As we journey towards Easter, our students will be sharing a special prayerful reflection on the Passion of Jesus. Through a simple role play, the children will help us remember the final moments of Jesus’ life and the great love shown through his sacrifice.
This reflection is based on the story of the Passion found in the Gospel of Matthew.
Parents, families, and friends are warmly invited to join us for this meaningful moment of prayer and reflection during this important season of Lent.
This has become a beautiful tradition at St Carlo, and each year it is a special and moving experience for our school community.

Parents, families, and friends are warmly invited to join us. We hope you can come and share this prayerful moment with us as we prepare our hearts for Easter.

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, we warmly invite parents and families to join us for a special reflection: A Mother’s Love
Together we will reflect on the final moments of Jesus’ life through the perspective of Mary, his mother. This prayerful gathering offers a chance to pause during the busy school term, enter into the story of the Passion, and reflect on the love, courage, and faith shown by Mary as she stood by her son.
We hope you can join us as we take this moment to reflect on the meaning of Easter and the great love at the heart of the Passion.
