Positive Behaviour for Learning
Dear Families,
In recent days you would have received a couple of emails regarding our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) Launch and our Mascot competition.
This year our school staff have been working on Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL). PBL is all about creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment where students can do their best.
We will be celebrating with a special Launch Day on Wednesday 8 October (Week 1, Term 4). The day will include fun activities, lessons about positive behaviour, and the introduction of our new School Behaviour Matrix.
Each child will be given a PBL value/expectation and colour to represent:
We are Safe – Green
We are Respectful – Purple
We are Kind – Yellow
We are Responsible – Red
We are Learners – Blue
Students are encouraged to wear a SPLASH of their nominated colour on Launch Day.
To make the day extra special, all students will enjoy a sausage sizzle lunch and Zooper Dooper (one sausage in bread provided – please pack extra food if needed).
PBL Mascot Competition – Behaviour Warrior
As part of our PBL Launch, we are running a Mascot Competition! Students are invited to design a mascot that represents our five PBL values:
We are Kind
We are Responsible
We are Learners
We are Safe
We are Respectful
Your mascot can be anything – an animal, superhero, character, or creative design. Entries can be a drawing, painting, 3D model, collage, or digital design.
Our SRC will shortlist the entries, and students will vote for the winner on Launch Day. The winning design will be made into a real Build-A-Bear mascot for our school!
Entries are due Tuesday 7 October (but can be brought in earlier). All students are encouraged to take part and get creative over the holidays.
Entries can be handed in directly or emailed to: sstedman@cckingsville.catholic.edu.au
