Spring Instrumental Evening

What a wonderful evening of music our talented Junior and Secondary school students presented!  Performers from Year 1 and right up to Year 12 played on their chosen instrument. The audience was indeed treated to a very high standard of attainment!

We had such an array of instruments represented including Piano, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Bass Clarinet and Violin. We had some wonderful singers as well, and the Stage Band opened the evening.

If you missed this one, more lovely seasonal concerts will be coming up next year.

Thank you to all who attended the Spring Instrumental Evening!

The Jesus Music Collective Band performance raises $2,500 for Generations in Jazz 2026

On Saturday evening, The Jesus Music Collective Band captivated an enthusiastic audience with their live production Imagine…The Beatles Meet Jesus. The talented band, which includes Emmaus Christian College staff members, blended Beatles' hits, Jesus Music Pioneer songs and a narrative unpacking the history behind each song, connecting questions of meaning and love to the ultimate answer found in Jesus.

This show was presented at the College as a fundraising event for our students' participation in the Generations in Jazz Music competitions in 2026. It resulted in $2,500 raised for Generations in Jazz 2026 from the concert's ticket sales, as well as donations from OMG Decadent Donuts and the Twisted Barista.

The band received amazing feedback from the audience who attended:

"The performance on Saturday was amazing! The band were so talented, and it was really engaging and thought-provoking. I loved hearing the Beatles songs connected to Jesus, and their reflections on love really stood out to me.’"

"A wonderful show that seamlessly weaves life’s big questions with the fun, energy, and timeless power of the Beatles’ music. The stunning vocals of Raquel and Laura, supported by an exceptional team of musicians, create an atmosphere that draws you in and keeps you humming Beatles classics long after the final note. "

Thank you to the Jesus Music Collective Band for an outstanding, inspiring performance. We look forward to the 2026 Generations in Jazz competitions in Mount Gambier!
