As Term 3 draws to a close, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on the rich learning, enjoyable community moments, and God’s goodness that have filled our days.

Culture Day Parade

The beginning of Culture Week was a vibrant celebration of diversity and unity. It was inspiring to see our students embrace different cultures with curiosity and respect, reminding us of the beauty in God’s global family.

Junior School classes were also delighted to welcome secondary students into their classrooms, where they played games together and learned some AUSLAN. This was an enriching experience of connection and inclusion.

Exploring French culture

During Culture Week (week 8), the lunchtime French activities were also highlighted, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across the Junior School.

Children enjoyed the traditional French game of pétanque, which was especially popular among the older students. French dancing (Jean Petit Qui Danse) brought energy and joy to the OSHC area, with students eagerly learning and performing simple routines.

The crêpe tossing competition added a playful and delicious twist, sparking laughter and friendly rivalry. These activities celebrated French culture and fostered a sense of community and fun, making lunchtime a memorable part of the week.

Also, on Thursday, many of the Junior School staff dressed “French style” to celebrate the French culture.

Father's Day Breakfast brought joy to South Plympton Campus

Another highlight was our Fathers' Breakfast, a special morning where dads, grandads, and father figures joined us for food, fellowship, and fun.

The laughter and conversations shared over breakfast were a beautiful reminder of families' vital role in nurturing our children’s growth. Classroom visits allowed students to proudly share their learning, and some classes worked with their dads to create mementos to take home.

We thank everyone who came along and helped make the day incredibly special!

Student-Led Conferences

This term, our students took great pride in leading their conferences and sharing their learning journeys with their parents. It was encouraging to see them speak with confidence about their progress, reflect thoughtfully on their achievements, and set meaningful goals for the term ahead. We deeply value the opportunity to partner with parents in nurturing each child’s growth as a learner.

This week, our Foundation to Year 2 students have developed confidence and skills in the water at the Marion Indoor Pool. It’s always a joy to see students challenge themselves, support one another, and celebrate their progress in such a fun and active setting.

As we approach the end of the term, we give thanks for the many ways our students have grown in character, knowledge, and faith. From classroom learning to playground friendships, each moment continues to be a building block in their journey.

We pray our families enjoy a restful and refreshing break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in Term 4 for more learning, laughter, and life together.

OSHC highlight

In OSHC, the children have a range of responsibilities. Often, they volunteer to serve the food, do the dishes, and contribute to meal preparations.

Last fortnight at South Plympton Campus, we had nachos deliciously topped with homemade salsa that the children made themselves!
