MUSIC NEWS

Hello everyone,

Gray St’s Got Talent came to its great conclusion this week, with the Grand Final being held in the Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. We were wowed by 25 performances, ranging from soloists and pop singing groups, to comedians, dancers and gifted musicians.

Our ‘celebrity’ judges once again had a very difficult task in front of them, but after much deliberation they chose the following winners:

In the Junior Section:

1st – Tied for first place were Atley Brabham & Rosie Tcheng with “Strong”, and Alexia Jordan & Caila Murphy with “A Thousand Years”

                2nd – River Doheny with “Can I Get a Chee-Hoo”

The 2025 Senior winners were:

1st – Jack & Harvey Thomas with “We Will Rock You”

2nd – Selina Perera singing “Takedown”

3rd - Lyric Samuel playing “Clare de Lune” on the piano

Honourable Mentions were given to Emerson-Rose Higgins for singing “In the Stars”, and Connor, Ethan D and Archie M for their dance to “Cover Me in Sunshine”.

To finish the event off, all students voted on their favourite junior and senior act. As a result, the Junior Kids Choice Award went to River Doheny, with Lewis, Joel and Taylor a close second, and the Senior Kids Choice Award went to Jack and Harvey.

A special thank you to Music Captains, Kai Ham and Matilda Tossetti, for their tireless efforts in judging auditions, semi-finals, and compering on the day. You’ve done an amazing job, girls!

Well done to everyone involved for all their hard work, including parents and carers who supported and encouraged from behind the scenes!

Kind regards,

Mrs Garland
