Miss Jaclyn is always busy keeping abreast of our socials and sharing the terrific things happening at our school.
As we reach the end of another busy term, I want to take a moment to reflect on all we have achieved together. It has been a term filled with incredible learning, new friendships, and wonderful moments of discovery.
I am so proud of our students for their hard work and positive attitudes. They have tackled new challenges with enthusiasm, whether it was mastering a tricky maths concept, writing a creative story, or showing kindness to a classmate. It is a joy to see them grow not only in their academic skills but also in their character.
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff for their passion and commitment. Their tireless efforts in creating engaging lessons and a supportive classroom environment make all the difference.
Finally, thank you to you, our families, for your ongoing support. Your partnership is so valuable and helps create the strong school community that we all cherish.
I hope you all have a safe and restful break. May it be filled with fun, family, and a chance to recharge. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another fantastic term of learning and adventure!
We are thrilled to share that Kirsti O'Brien and her partner Lewis, together with their daughter Sadie are preparing to welcome a new addition to their family — their second child is on the way! Another bundle of joy for this growing family. 🎈🧸 Huge congratulations to them all!
💗 We’re sending all our love and best wishes to Kirsti and her family during this very special time. 🌟👨👩👧👦
A reminder to those families who received an email with a link to the MACSSIS survey to complete the survey by this Friday 19th September.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to your participation in the 2025 MACSSIS survey.
Please note that Parent/Teacher Interviews are tomorrow (September 17). Please ensure you have booked a time with your child's teacher and have indicated your end of day arrangements on the Audiri form.
Parent / Teacher Interviews provide the opportunity for open dialogue about your child’s individual growth and are a wonderful opportunity for you to meet collaboratively with your child’s teacher to discuss your child’s progress.
A reminder that this Fridayis the final day of term 3. Students are invited to wear casual clothes and will finish at 1:30pm
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Father's Day breakfast and stall! It was a fantastic morning filled with delicious food and lots of smiling faces. It was wonderful to see so many of our dads, granddads, and other special role models enjoying breakfast with their children.
The Father's Day stall was also a huge success, and it was a joy to watch the students carefully choose the perfect gift. We couldn't have done it without the incredible support of our community.
A special thank you to all the parent volunteers who gave their time to organise and help at the stall and to all the staff members who helped out at the breakfast. We truly appreciate your efforts.
We'd also like to give a special shout-out to the local businesses that generously donated items for our stall:
- Northcote Aquatic & Recreation Centre
- Northcote Nursery
- Amcal Chemist Northland
- Coles
- Gourmet Meat Rack Northcote Plaza
- Bunnings Fairfield
- Kmart Northland and
- IsAlbi Outlet Store Preston.
These contributions helped make the day extra special for our school community.
We hope all our wonderful dads, grandads and special people had a very happy Father's Day!
On 8th September, Amelia represented St Joseph's in the 80m hurdles event at the Divisional Athletics competition. We are very proud to announce that Amelia came first in her race. She now progresses through to Regionals next term. We wish her all the best!
On 5th August a number of students sat The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). This competition was first run in 1978 and is Australia’s longest running, largest and most well-known maths competition for school students.
Like all of The Australia Maths Trust’s competitions, the AMC contains unique problems designed each year by leading educators and academics to challenge and extend students’ problem-solving skills.
This is a challenging and demanding test and the students who sat it, performed brilliantly.
Congratulations and well done to:
Miles McCrohan for obtaining a HIGH DISTINCTION
Liam Keogh for obtaining a DISTINCTION
Isaac Roger for obtaining a DISTINCTION
Luca Poggioli for obtaining a DISTINCTION
Hayley McCrohan for obtaining a CREDIT
